Promote our commitment of donating 100% of funds raised to our community projects that resonates well throughout the community and is Quota's point of difference. Promote new technology and international opportunities to assist in the growth of membership and longevity of our junior Quotarians. Embrace appropriate strategies to engage women who are efficient multi-taskers that have limited time, but still want to be involved in community service. To maintain and build on the traditions of friendship and fellowship.
Experience Within Quota:
Quota member of 17 years. Governor of District 30 from 2011-2012. Club President on four (4) occasions between 2003 - 2007. Multiple terms as Treasurer and Chair of various committees, including District Chair of Hearing and Speech. Attended two (2) International Conventions and was a panel presenter at one. Current member of Region 13, Finance Team. A highlight as District Governor was the key initiative to provide footwear for an indigenous community on remote Mornington Island.
Professional Background & Experience:
Hold a Bachelor Degree in Human Resource Management. Certified Trainer in Communications. Career has focused in the finance sector including Property Manager for eight (8) shopping centres and Financial and Administration Manager for a property developer.
Non-Quota Activities & Awards:
Awarded a Dean's Commendation on completion of Bachelor Degree. Recipient of award for services rendered as a "founding member" of the Somerset College Foundation. Following retirement that lasted 3 months established "The Shelly Touch" a handmade wedding invitation and speciality card business. Enjoys travel, photography, knitting, sudoku and family history. Married to Peter for 38 years and blessed with a very supportive family
